A Tasty EveningThank you for supporting Tenth's Mexico partner through good food Dear Tenth Community, As we prepare for our upcoming Justice Journey to La Paz, Mexico, we are filled with gratitude for God's faithfulness. Truly, His faithfulness knows no limits, and His mercy and provision are endless. Let us continue to place our trust in Him as we embark on this journey together. Global Missions continues to be rooted in the love of Jesus Christ nurturing a space of community building and engagement, both locally and globally. Our commitment is to act justly and love well. It is with great joy that we celebrate the beautiful and long-term relationships we have cultivated with our partners worldwide. On Saturday, February 3rd, we had the privilege of celebrating our Mexican partner, Rancho el Camino, in La Paz with an evening called “Taste of Mexico”. The evening was a testament to God’s work in La Paz, the richness of cultural exchange, highlighted by the rich flavors of Mexican cuisine. Alongside the traditional Pozole prepared by our dear friend Belen from Veracruz, we savored Tamalys, rice, and beans, skillfully crafted by Tamaly Shop. The ambiance of our gathering was further beautified by our Tenth Community. Vibrant colors that represented Mexican culture adorned our room with warmth and cheer. And let's not forget the highlight of the evening – the Piñata, joyfully broken by our enthusiastic children, led by our Director of Tenth Kids, Marie. In moments like these, we are reminded of the power of community, partnership, and the beauty of God’s creation around our nations. Our shared experiences deepen our bonds and strengthen our resolve to pursue justice and love in every corner of the globe. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Tenth Volunteers, whose love, support, and dedication enrich Tenth's community and make it a better place for all. Your willingness to lend a helping hand and contribute to our shared mission is truly precious. As we look ahead to our Justice Journey in La Paz, let us carry his presence within, knowing that as a body of Christ, we make a difference. Thank you to all who contributed to “Taste of Mexico”. May our unified efforts continue “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witness, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”. (Acts 1:8) Ana For more infomation visit:

Business as Mission Leadership LunchThursday, February 29th, 12:15pm at Tenth Church - Friday, March 1, 2024 Business as Mission Leadership lunch over authentic Mexican food. Business As Mission Vancouver (BAM) is collaborating with Tenth Church to bring you a lunchtime mixer. Come on Febuary 29th, meet and learn from one of our BAM 2024 Conference keynotes, Dr. Gea Gort. Geo co-founded and leads Business as Mission (BAM) in the Netherlands, she is also globally involved with the BAM movement and has authored several books on the subject, a.o. BAM GlobalMovement (2018). Gea has a unique voice on the subject, so you will appreciate her insights. Also sharing their global business experiences will be another conference speaker. The lunch will be hosted by Tenth’s Patrick Elaschuk and Ana Velazquez. We encourage leaders from the faith community to come - and please bring another leader from the business or church community as your guest. Once there you can plant the seed that one's business can also be one's mission.. We are hopeful that there will be much cross-pollination at the lunch. This will be an informal opportunity for leaders to share how God is at work in business, and how they can be involved. Food will be provided by The Tamaly Shop, a community restaurant which has been flourishing during adversity through hard work and innovative leadership of its owners from Mexico.
