''A definition of Business as Mission (BAM) is harnessing jobs by providing goods and services for flourishing humanity,'' shared Trinity Western's Brian Albright at the BAM Vancouver Conference last weekend. Also presenting at the BAM gathering were Tenth's own Patrick Elaschuk and Ana Velazquez. They shared on how Tenth has been empowering partners like Alongsiders/Shalom Valley and Villageworks to sustain their organizations through entrepreneurial ventures and intentional relationship building. As a follow-up to the conference, Patrick and Ana will be hosting BAM Mexican Breakfast on March 8 at the Tamaly Shop. A Wounded HealerPhalyn - A Cambodian Woman on a Transforming Mission “What was really special about the Emerald Women group is that it helped me to discover who I really am without comparing myself to others,” Phalyn said. Through Emerald Women, a year-long, interfaith cohort for women, Phalyn experienced healing through the lessons and fellowship. "Now I am using some of the knowledge and skills that I gained from the Emerald Women program to teach the women in my church," Phalyn added.
