Ministry Apprenticeship Program
The Ministry Apprenticeship Program through Alliance Canada is a new church-based opportunity designed to help individuals discern and step into vocational ministry. Apprentices gain hands-on ministry experience, receive subsidized theological education, and are mentored by experienced leaders—all within the context of their local church. With multiple entry points and up to $5,000 per year in support, this program offers a practical and well-supported way to explore God's calling. Applications Due by June 23, 2026
Church Hub Pathway (2 Years)
Designed for those already active in an Alliance church, this pathway integrates ministry, learning, and mentorship over two years. Year one focuses on spiritual formation and foundational leadership development, while year two increases responsibility and clarifies calling, with a view toward licensed ministry.
Second Career Pathway (1 Year, Flexible)
For those sensing a call to ministry later in life, this pathway offers a more adaptable structure that fits around work, family, and existing responsibilities. Apprentices engage in part-time study and serve in a local church while discerning next steps.
Advanced Formation Pathway (1 year)
Geared toward those nearing graduation from Bible college or seminary, this pathway emphasizes deeper integration into ministry leadership. Apprentices continue their studies while serving in a church, receiving mentorship, and building connections across the Alliance as they move toward licensing.
