Shelter

Mission: We are committed to reflecting Christ’s life and ethos through the practice of generous hospitality.

As followers of Christ, we believe God’s love knows no limits. God took on human form and moved into the neighbourhood in the person of Jesus. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and dismantled many systems of injustice.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to open our building as a winter shelter this year.

This decision was not made lightly, and comes after careful, prayerful consideration. We recognize the impact of this disappointing news, especially to neighbours who have found comfort here in past years, and we share in that sadness.

We invite you to join us in prayer for all who are without stable housing this winter, and for the organizations and volunteers working tirelessly to meet their needs. Together, we trust in God’s provision and remain hopeful that our shared compassion will continue to make a difference.

For further questions and concerns, please connect with your site pastor.

Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…  Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
