Dear Tenth family,
As the summer comes to a close, I'm excited to share with you some things going on in the world of Tenth Global. As you read this edition of Global News, you will first and foremost be encouraged to pray. You'll hear from many different voices, including Makara (Tenth Global's Liaison in Cambodia) about the impact of the Global Mentors program. A refugee that Tenth supports also shares her story of strength through devastating hardship. Also in this newsletter, you'll find invitations to participate in a time of prayer and fellowship with some of our partners in Cambodia, a JUST 58 film screening tonight on Zoom. Through these stories, events, and prayer requests, may you be uplifted and inspired to fight for justice in your local and global community. With God for others, Holly |
First ThingFive Prayer Items The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so that we can be quietly about our business of living simply in humble contemplation. This is the way our Saviour God wants us to live. 1 Timothy 1:1-3 For more infomation visit:

B's Refugee JourneyFeeling Stronger Every Day This story was written by one of our new refugee friends who arrived in Canada earlier this year. She has shown incredible strength through hardship, and found a supportive community in Canada. "The situation in our home country was not good and getting worse every day. We applied for a US visa, but the decision was hard to make because my husband could not come with us, and it was very hard for me and my three kids to come alone... For more infomation visit:

You're Invited to a Film Screening!
Tonight, August 30, is our final JUST 58 event of the summer. We would love for you to join us! This summer, Tenth Global has been hosting film screenings and times of discussion on Zoom, focusing on topics of justice and Cambodia. We've been joined by local leaders in Cambodia, and the discussions have been so powerful. Some participants of these events have been so generous to share their experience with us, expressing how these events help keep them inspired for justice. In this post, Katie shares her experience of coming face to face with the unimaginable pain inflicted by the Khmer Rouge and the Killing Fields, and reflects on what we can do about the lasting impact of this injustice... One Can Give Without LovingBut One Cannot Love Without Giving Exodus 35:4-5 says “Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, ‘This is the thing that the Lord has commanded. Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s contribution …’” In this time of great uncertainty for our partners in Cambodia and Mexico, and can offer our generosity to support the work that they are doing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are two ways you can help: 1. Pray - Click here to find specific requests for prayer in this season. Everything that Tenth Global does to support partners in Cambodia and Mexico, missionaries across the globe, and refugees here in Vancouver is supported by these three funds, and these funds do not receive money from the General Fund (offering) at Tenth. 100% of your donations to these funds go to local and global work, and the work of Tenth Global is made possible by you and your generosity. Thank you for your continued support! For more infomation visit:
