First Thing

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so that we can be quietly about our business of living simply in humble contemplation. This is the way our Saviour God wants us to live. 1 Timothy 1:1-3

Here are 5 items for your prayer consideration:   

1. Canada – We started July off by celebrating Canada Day. Pray for God’s kingdom to come to Canada as it is in heaven.  Ruler supreme, who hearest humble prayer, Hold our dominion within thy loving care; Help us to find, O God, in thee A lasting, rich reward, As waiting for the Better Day, We ever stand on guard. A verse from our original anthem.
2. Refugees – Pray for more than 117 million people who have been forcefully displaced from their homes as they seek food, shelter, safety, and a welcoming community.  Pray for the 120 refugees/newcomers that will be experiencing camp at Pioneer Pacific on Thetis Island.  Pray for the provision of a newly created position of Program Manager for Tenth’s Refugee Support.
3. Cambodia - Pray for faithfulness and fruitfulness in Tenth's partnerships like Alongsiders, DOVE, Chab Dai, Precious Women, Manna4Life, Raju, and Extreme Love.  Click here for notes from our June Cambodia prayer meeting.
4. Sierra Leone - Pray for Steve and Jennifer Ney as they navigate life with their 2 new sons as they lead vibrant ministries.  Jennifer needs ongoing prayer for her health. Steve will be at Tenth on August 13 and Jennifer will be at Tenth on October 8. 
5. Tenth's 25 Global Workers - in 13 countries and 15 partners (10 in Cambodia). Pray for faithfulness & fruitfulness, gospel opportunities, healthy churches, humility and protection.
