The Temporary Winter Shelter is now closed for the season.

You can help by donating financially or by giving some practical items. See the "Give" section below for details!

We believe being "with God and for others" involves a commitment to hospitality and generosity, especially for those in need, because we believe that God has first shown this to us. In Scripture, God's intention for the caring of the outcast, needy, and stranger are borne out of His own love, welcome, and generosity toward His people (Lev 19:33-37) - who are ultimately made into God's family through Christ (e.g. 2 Corinthians 8:9).

We are honoured to partner with our neighbours at Lookout Housing and Health Society as we open our doors to serve as a site for BC Housing’s Temporary Winter Shelter from November 1, 2022 and April 15, 2023. With almost 50 years of experience in providing emergency shelter services and long-term housing solutions, Lookout will lend their expertise to the Shelter at Tenth.   Temporary shelters are opened annually through a partnership with the City of Vancouver and BC Housing to provide additional shelter capacity to keep those experiencing homelessness safe and warm during the winter months.

Join us here at Tenth as we open our doors to our neighbours and provide a space of rest to people who are experiencing homelessness.
