Instead of the usual Spring Break activities, this March some Tenth families will be living and serving on a ranch in Mexico.

This is our second family-inclusive Justice Journey, a response to many from Tenth wanting to introduce their families to global justice and poverty issues while also helping to build long-term relationships with Tenth's strategic partners.

Our team of 15 will be working and ministering on a real ranch in La Paz, Mexico at Rancho el Camino. If you are familiar with the Alongsiders Shalom Valley Camp in Cambodia, the vision and values are very similar.

Our team will be living a ranch rule of life, working on the ranch and getting our hands dirty in the organic garden as we build relationships with local Mexican families and support the long-term community development vision of Rancho el Camino.

With Rancho el Camino, Tenth’s long-term goals are to:

  • Help the Ranch bring their organic farm to a place where it can help support the costs of running the ranch and increase the impact of reaching community kids and families.
  • Stand and support all the Ranch staff, volunteers, and local leaders in their relationships with God.

Team members are:

  • Brook Family (Stephanie, Emily and Zachary) – Mount Pleasant
  • Dreger Family (Susan and Rachel) – Mount Pleasant
  • Kuo Family (Kenneth, Maggie and Casey) - Mount Pleasant
  • Jonathan Fajardo – Evening
  • Zakary Koftinoff – Evening
  • Laurence Vicencio - Evening
  • Patrick Elaschuk - Mount Pleasant
  • Wanda Ho – East Van
  • Mark Anderson and Petra Anderson – Spiritual Directors

Not all of our team members have all the necessary funds and we also want to bless the ranch with some resources. Our fundraising goal is $4,000.
