As creatures made in the image of God, we are called to take care of this world God created (Genesis 1:26-31; 2:15). However, we can easily lose touch with creation in our urban environment and technological age. We invite you to reawaken to humanity's first vocation as cultivators of the earth.  In whatever way you can, join us in caring for creation with God, for others.

  • Join the community garden team - Did you know we have two community gardens that you can help care for?
  • Plant a tree - Grow the urban forest canopy and help reach the City of Vancouver's goal of planting 150,000 trees by 2020. $10 trees will be available online starting Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
  • Become a Green Streets volunteer (a City of Vancouver neighbourhood initiative).  Have you ever noticed those traffic circles or small areas of sidewalks that are lovingly cared for?  You can do that too! Invite your life group to care for green spaces in your neighbourhood—a great way to care for creation and get to know your neighbours.

How are you already caring for creation in your neighbourhood?  Send a note to debbie@tenth.ca and let's learn from each other!
