For the entire month of June, we are featuring our friendships with refugees, calling it Refugee Friendship Month. Through this, we are inviting folks to give and live.
Camp has been transforming for many of our newcomers, and so this year we are planning to send 50 refugees to newcomer camp.
Many other newcomers and refugees are discovering connection and friendship with our Tenth family. However, over this past year, the Lower Mainland has experienced record numbers of refugees seeking asylum in Canada, so the need is greater than ever.
If you can see yourself making a little bit more room in your life to welcome refugees, we encourage you to consider taking a next step. You can learn more about getting connected at tenth.ca/refugee.
All funds raised over and above this goal will go towards settling new families in Vancouver with housing and practical support.
In the words of Irish missionary Amy Carmichael "You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving."
As we grow in our love towards welcoming newcomers, go to tenth.ca/give and help build a flourishing community. Choose Refugee Fund
