Some may wonder, you can get soap and candles anywhere - so what makes Just Bags unique?

Even the common items from Just Bags tell stories of empowering women, supporting folks with massive barriers to employment - including people with disabilities and newcomers who find it hard to get settled in Greater Vancouver.

Many of the products are extraordinary, with Tenth volunteers and leaders helping in the design and production, as they are lovingly made by our partners in Cambodia, China, Sierra Leone and Vancouver.

So, you may be able to buy soap, candles, tea and coffee elsewhere, but you will not be able to buy them paired with Just Bags and all the collective social causes it supports while moving forward our church's vision - discover Christ, spiritual transformation and seek justice.

Just Bags celebrate community in the spirit of hope and love.  The secret sauce of Just Bags happens behind the scenes as people come together using their talents for the sake of others.

One last thing.  A few people have been sharing with us how much they love Just Bags, but because this has been a tough year economically, they were unable to purchase a bag for $85. In response, this week, we created Mini Just Bags, which is a smaller cosmetic bag and wallet (made from upcycled materials) from Cambodia, with soap, a star and Christmas card from Sierra Leone.

A limited number of Mini Just Bags will only be available at Mount Pleasant on December 17 for $40.
