A few of our global partners are building, renovating or improving their facilities for greater impact.  Here is a brief update:

  • Cambodia - Shalom Valley Chapel. A donor from Tenth gave a significant donation last fall which has enabled the Alongsiders team to start building a chapel which will provide a sacred and quiet space for spiritual teachings, baptisms and weddings.  The team is excited for the potential of being able to host weddings, giving a beautiful place where some of the 10’s of thousands of Alongsiders can get married, as well as being able to rent out the camp for weddings to outsiders for extra revenue.  Our November team was at the chapel location for a chapel prayer dedication during the 10th Anniversary celebration.  If you have not seen this thank you video from Craig, check it out.
  • Mexico - Rancho El Camino Café. This Tenth supported project is creating a café on the ranch to expand their revenue base while providing work experience for local youth.    Our February team helped out with phase 1.  Learn more from Rancho El Camino’s last newsletter.
  • Cambodia - VillageWorks. As part of our 3-year Cambodia plan for sustainability, Tenth is investing in helping provide improved housing for VillageWorks staff with disabilities while creating 2 spaces for retail and workshops. Our November team helped out with phase 1.

Luke 6:47 I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. 48 It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.

To donate to Tenth’s building projects, either give to the Cambodia fund or Mexico fund.
