This past week, young students in Oudong village were finally able to hop aboard their tuk tuk school bus and head to Glory School to return to their studies after many months away. All summer, they have been doing schoolwork at home, and some of them have been selling snacks around the village to help support their families. Kevin and Leakhena invite us to pray with them for the students attending Glory School – that there would be adequate financial resources to support the education of every child connected to Manna4Life. Manna4Life and Glory School have been also hosting meetings with student’s parents, discussing shared visions for the school year and protocols for safety as students return to school during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Another aspect of the work of Manna4Life lately has been food distribution. Communities around the world are coming together to support each other, and the community that Manna4Life is part of in Cambodia is no different. Offering food as gifts to ancestors that have passed is a spiritual tradition in Cambodia during the holiday season of Pchum Ben. During this season especially, it is such a wonderful expression of generosity to be able to share food with those in need, reflecting the love that God has for each and every one of them. Many have been deeply moved by the fact that those from places far away care about them and want to share their resources with them.
