Our refugee support team recently shared the story of a father who made a harrowing overland journey with his 11 year old daughter from Brazil to Canada, only to find that they were without housing options when they arrived.  The only possibility they had for a roof over their heads was to sleep at the airport.  As they were on the Skytrain on the way to YVR, our refugee support team received word and providentially that very day a room opened up in a condo that Tenth has been granted use of for housing refugee claimants.  Before the father and daughter completed their trip, they were able to turn around and come back into Vancouver.  That night they were sheltered, fed and provided for.

On Father's Day, let's also remember the fathers that have made extraordinary sacrifices in order to provide a safe future for their children.
