"Our dream is to have our own camp so that all our big brothers and sisters can have the best experience with their little brothers and sisters,  shared Serey and Sokal.  I remember this conversation so vividly back in 2008 after spending several days with Big Brothers and Sisters of Cambodia - BBSC (now called Alongsiders).  The two staff at the time, Serey and Sokal, helped lay a strong foundation of discipleship and vision that has expanded to include thousands of young people in Cambodia and extended its model into 13 other countries … and the fulfillment of the 'dream'.  Shalom Valley, the first Christian camp in Cambodia had its grand opening in January 2019.

Watch a fun video by Alongsiders Founder Craig Greenfield right after the debut camp.

I will be leading a group of 20 young people from Tenth as we will experience the fulfillment of the 'dream' together by co-leading a camp with Alongsiders staff for Mango Tree Students and staff.

If you will be praying for our July 21 to August 5 Journey, a few prayer requests are:

•  Leading / serving out of the presence and love of Jesus
•  Protection from sickness, disease, and accidents
•  Team unity – from there the Lord commands a blessing
•  Mutual transformation of Tenth Team, Alongsiders Team, and Mango Tree School Team

Stay tuned for regular blogs from Cambodia.

With excitement and gratitude,
