Spiritual direction is a key discipline for Christians because the dynamics of life in our contemporary world are complicated and, at times, lonely. That's why it is so important to have “soul friends” with whom we can process our inner lives and discern God's direction in our lives. This is what Soul Trios are for - group spiritual direction.

At Tenth, we define Christian spiritual direction as:

"Help given by one Christian to another which enables that person to pay attention to God’s personal communication to him or her, to respond to this personally communicating God, to grow in intimacy with this God, and to live out of the consequences of the relationship”

William A. Barry and William J. Connolly, The Practice of Spiritual Direction

Soul Trios are monthly gatherings of three people who desire to grow deeper in Christ by learning to listen contemplatively in order to notice God’s presence and work in their lives. We believe that this approach to community and spiritual growth will be transformational for each person who participates – and for our larger Tenth Church community.
