Global Mentors
“What the world needs is mentored and trained leaders in the majority world to lead and mentor the majority of our world’s population.”
Being in a mutual mentoring relationship is a significant desire of most of Tenth Church's global partners. In response to this need and invitation, Tenth has created a global leadership mentoring platform called Global Mentors.
What is the goal?
- Mutual spiritual transformation and discipleship.
What is the format?
- We meet twice a month on alternate Wednesdays via zoom.
- Each meeting is 75 minutes from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm (Vancouver time) with optional extra 15 minutes of prayer.
- Each session consists of a short talk - video or live format, followed by group discussion in a friendly, open, and informal environment. Guest speakers lead on special topics
What is the content?
- In response to feedback from global and local (from Tenth) leaders, the content will include, Survivor Guide for the Soul, Soul Trios, We Are Not the Hero, and Entrepreneurship.
- Break-out affinity groups in Business as Mission, Leadership, Justice, and Family.
What is the commitment?
- Because we are dealing with long term leadership development, Global Mentors has a commitment of 8 months, meeting 2 times a month for 1.25 hours.
- There will also be some weekly reading and personal prayer response times.
- A small cohort of Global Mentors will be added in early 2021.
- Global Mentors will start with a maximum of 24 people including 12 from Tenth Church and 12 Global leaders.
Next steps?
- PRAY: Prayerfully consider this timely opportunity.
- LEARN: Get more information here and attend a Global Mentors Open House on Wednesday, October 14 at 7 pm if you are interested.
