DISCUSS TOGETHER
What does surprised mean? How does your face look when you’re surprised? How does your body react when you are surprised?

READ TOGETHER
Younger kids: Read the Bible passage from the illustration above.
Older kids: Help kids open their Bibles and read Matthew 28:1-10

RESPOND TOGETHER.
- Share about a time when you felt surprised.
- God sometimes shows himself in surprising places, for example: in people and nature. How do you wish God would surprise you today? Discuss, draw or write about it.
- Pray together.
