Working together with our friends at Lookout Housing and Health Society, the Shelter is open at Tenth Church Mt Pleasant 7 days a week from November 1 - March 31, 10:30pm-6:30am. 

The following donations are warmly welcomed!

  • Travel-size toothpaste
  • Razors
  • Hand warmers

We believe being "with God and for others" involves a commitment to hospitality and generosity, especially for those in need, because we believe that God has first shown this to us. In Scripture, God's intention for the caring of the outcast, needy, and stranger is borne out of His own love, welcome, and generosity toward His people (e.g. Lev 19:33-37) - who are ultimately made into God's family through Christ (e.g. 2 Corinthians 8:9).

Join us here at Tenth as we open our doors to neighbours and provide a space of rest to people who are experiencing homelessness.   

Kindly drop off your donations at the Mt Pleasant site located at 11 W 10th Avenue, Entrance A (along 10th Ave), Monday - Thursday, 10am-4pm. If you have additional items to give, please donate them to the Salvation Army or Union Gospel Mission. We are limited on space and what we can accept.
