An important matter has come up for us to respond to as a church family. The Extreme Weather Response shelter at Tenth Church in Mt Pleasant has been open during cold weather this winter and has provided mats, hot cups of homemade soup, pastries, hot beverages and oatmeal breakfasts to those who would otherwise not have shelter. Unfortunately, the heating system in our Lower East Hall has broken down, and due to parts shortages, is out of operation for an undetermined length of time. As such, we are hoping to provide additional blankets to help keep guests warm.

We welcome your donation of new or gently used blankets! They can be dropped off at the church office (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) or to your pastor on Sundays. Suitable blankets include ones made of fleece or wool—anything that doesn't have a filling and that can be easily washed in a machine. For example, we can use blankets like this, but not like this. Thank you for your generosity!
