Tenth Church has some new friends moving into our parking lot for the 2020 growing season. Beginning Tuesday May 26, 2020, City Beet Farm will be parking their mobile farm unit at our Mount Pleasant site.

Founded in 2012, City Beet Farm is a small-scale urban farm located in the heart of Vancouver. City Beet Farm was born from a commitment between two farmers and a community of homeowners. Today, they grow a wide diversity of vegetables and flowers in a network of 15 front and backyards in the Mount Pleasant and Riley Park neighbourhoods. They distribute CSA vegetable boxes from The Federal Store, located a couple of blocks away from Tenth Church Mount Pleasant.

Tenth Church and City Beet Farm are excited that this partnership will help provide increased access to local food to the neighbourhood. In exchange for use of space, City Beet Farm will offer farm produce to supplement Oasis Café and Kits Cares Café and help to maintain The Healing Garden alongside our volunteers.
