Kiara first connected with Tenth’s Refugee Ministry while facilitating Newcomers Camp at InterVarsity’s Pioneer Pacific Camp, where she worked for two years as the Office Administrator. Born in Zambia to a family that deeply values cross-cultural engagement and mission, Kiara continues to enjoy meeting and learning from people of diverse ethnicities and cultural backgrounds.

Her passion for uplifting vulnerable individuals facing barriers in society led her to pursue a Diploma of Social Work. She believes that as followers of Christ, we are called to partner with Him in bringing heaven to earth—empowering the marginalized and proclaiming the gospel through our actions.

In her free time, Kiara enjoys playing guitar and writing music, crafting, trying new vegetarian recipes, and spending time with her husband, Maxwell.
