Melanie Haney
Family Ministries Director—East Van
Melanie has been an active part of the Tenth Church community since 2012 and joined the staff in October of 2023. She has worked with children and families for the past 20 years in many capacities, including at children’s centres, churches, preschools, school-age programs, and forest school. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care. She is also a licensed Early Childhood Educator as well as a certified Forest Practitioner. When she isn’t serving East Van kids and their families, she is leading children on forest adventures. Melanie deeply values attachment and has studied at The Neufeld Institute.
Melanie lives in Burnaby with her husband and two daughters. Together, they love camping, exploring nature, relaxing on Gabriola Island’s beautiful beaches, and swimming. Melanie loves reading, cycling, music, gardening, and a good cup of coffee.
