Alan Lensink is a campus minister at the University of British Columbia (UBC) with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
Alan’s mission field is with graduate students: namely the 10,000 Masters and PhD students at the university. This is a diverse population, as these students come from all over the world, are studying in various fields, and their ages range from 22 to 40+. Alan loves to connect with graduate students, discover their passions, interests, and gifts, bring them into a welcoming community that grows and matures their faith in Jesus.
Alan has enthusiasm and zeal for cross-cultural friendships, community building, adventure, sharing the good news with non-believers, Bible study and Biblical literacy, the integration of faith with all of life, and the slow steady growth of Christian character and Christlikeness.
Alan and his wife Larisa have been members of Tenth Church (East Van) since 2017.
