Giving TimeBeing Generous for Others “Thank you Mim—you always give us your time. It was the one thing that was the most important. And I don’t think I’ll ever look back and regret that generosity," shares a friend who arrived in Canada claiming refugee status. In this season of Lent, we are encouraged to fast, be generous, and pray. Mim Wickett, our Refugee Support Coordinator shared in a Tenth Church service on February 21st how she has been generous with her time with newcomers in Canada. Mim is a great example of someone who follows God's word when we are exhorted to treat strangers as our own and love foreigners as ourselves. See her short talk here (starts at 37 minutes). In this edition of Refugee Support News, find out new ways to give your time with refugees while learning how a photo contest helped beat the winter blues, and more... Enjoy! |

Sobered because Lebanon is experiencing extra-ordinary suffering as the county is in free fall in a multitude of sectors. It is sobering to be on a call with a friend and partner whose country offers such little hope. And yet, God's mission is still the mission... For more infomation visit:

Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so that we can be quietly about our business of living simply in humble contemplation. This is the way our Saviour God wants us to live. 1 Timothy 1:1-3 Pray for (1) Tenth refugee support human resources (2) Refugee claimants in Vancouver (3) Partner in Lebanon - FEAL (4) Journey Home Community (5) Hope for refugees For more details, read more.
