The Social Dilemma

Several years ago, the Vancouver based author and lecturer Ross Laird, gave an insightful and practical lecture at Tenth on Kids, Screen Time, and the Tangled Web.

 The Social Dilemma, a 2020 Netflix documentary, addresses a related theme. The film explores the rise of social media and the damage it can cause society by exploiting its users for financial gain through surveillance data mining. It also addresses how social media can undermine a person’s mental health and reveals the relationship between social media use and the rising rates of teenage suicide.
