Mt Pleasant

We use a simple curriculum, Baby Beginnings by Gospel Light, to engage the kids in learning about God that’s appropriate for ages 6 months to 2 years old. We have a time for play, story, singing, activity, and snack throughout the morning. Classroom doors open at 9:00am.

If you and your child are not ready to be separated, we encourage you to use the Family Room (located to the right of the Sanctuary) where you can be together and still experience the service.

We are using a Tenth Kids curriculum based on the Bible App for Kids and the Jesus Storybook Bible that caters for Ages 3 to Grade 1. Throughout the morning, kids in this age group will experience a time for play, worship, story, small groups, and snack. Classroom doors open at 9:00am.

Grade 1 kids join our School Age group during the 11:15am service.

For children in grades 1 to 5, we use a custom-made curriculum that includes easy-to-learn Bible lessons to help your child grow in their faith. We use hands-on activities through games, the arts, and object lessons to reach every child, respecting that each child has a unique temperament and learning style.

A typical morning includes:

  • worshipping God through music either in their classroom or with their families in the Sanctuary
  • a Bible-based lesson
  • response activities—prayer, journaling, arts and crafts, and games
  • a snack and time for free play

At the 9:15 AM Service, children begin their programs at 9:15 AM on the lower level of the church. For the 11:15 AM Service, children begin with worship in the Sanctuary with their families and are dismissed to their programs from the Sanctuary at 11:45 AM.
