It is very difficult for newcomers to secure their first job in Canada, but mentors, employers and networkers who can assist in this process will enable our refugee community to quickly become independent in their new life in Canada. Sometimes all it takes is to put in a good word for someone, and they can begin to contribute in a meaningful way to their new country.
