To be human is to have emotions – yet we seldom know how to relate to our emotions. Indeed, many people have learned to be frightened of what they feel. It is not easy to be with our emotions - especially the unpleasant ones. Often, we’d rather ignore, fix or bury them.

But emotions matter - they are the voice of our soul and connect us to the deepest parts of our inner selves. So, it’s important to pay attention to our feelings - for they are like a door that opens into a deeper place of encounter with our real selves and experience the transforming love of God.

Together, we will explore prayerful ways that create a safe and welcoming space for our emotions to be seen and heard, and to bring them into God’s compassionate presence. Such ‘inner hospitality’ opens our souls to be known and loved more deeply as we are and experience God’s presence in our lives.

This event will be held online, via Zoom, on June 25 from 7 - 8:30 PM. Please stay tuned for more details.
