A few times a year we gather as a Tenth community for a contemplative prayer night.

We desire to grow in our understanding of God, and how to better hear His voice in our lives.

This evening, we will be practising Lenten Lectio Divina with Esther Hizsa.

Esther Hizsa lives in Burnaby, BC with her husband, Fred. She has a Master of Divinity degree from Regent College and worked for over twenty years as an associate pastor, first at Cliff Avenue United Church and then at New Life Community Church. She offers spiritual direction (trained through SoulStream), is part of the Jesuit Spirituality Apostolate of Vancouver (a group of directors who accompany people through the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises Retreat in Daily Life), co-facilitates SoulStream’s course, Living from the Heart (Lower Mainland), and writes. She has a book, Stories of an Everyday Pilgrim, and a blog, An Everyday Pilgrim, with a new post every Friday. She and Fred enjoy cycling and hanging out with their grandchildren.
