Every Biblical Christmas character faced one of life's greatest obstacles: fear. Maybe it's our turn...

Through contemplative prayer exercises, asking and answering Jesus' question, "Why are you so afraid?", we will open our spirits to overcome fear and receive the greatest gift: love.

A few times a year we gather as a Tenth community for a contemplative prayer night. We desire to grow in our understanding of God, and how to better hear His voice in our lives. This evening we will be led by Bronwyn Spilsbury.

Bronwyn Spilsbury is a pastoral host and director of sacred events and journeys to Bible lands. She recently co-hosted Tenth's journey to Israel and Jordan with Pastor Ken Shigematsu and Darrell Johnson and leads several groups every year. Bronwyn is a writer and speaker and lover of prayer. She delights in creating space that opens our hearts to the presence of the powerful One who rewrites and rewires our lives, making them coherent and complete. Bronwyn served in pastoral ministry for 12 years in Calgary before coming to Vancouver in 2015 with her husband, Paul (Academic Dean at Regent College), and their two adult sons (both at UBC).
