Having conversations about life, faith, and Jesus is hard. Alpha is about creating a welcoming, friendly place where people can come and ask questions and explore the Christian faith.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. Run over 10 weeks, the Alpha Film Series allows anyone to explore life, faith and God in a friendly, open and informal environment. In each session, there's a short talk and discussion in small groups. There is a planned in-person retreat to Camp Stillwood in Chilliwack, BC (subject to change due to public safety and health orders in British Columbia).

What topics are covered at our Alpha Film Series?

  • Is There More to Life Than This?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why Did Jesus Die?
  • How Can I Have Faith?
  • Why and How Do I Pray?
  • Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
  • How Does God Guide Us?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • What Does the Holy Spirit Do?
  • How Can I Be Filled with the Holy Spirit?
  • How Can I Resist Evil?
  • Does God Heal Today?
  • What About the Church?

What's included?

We provide online Alpha Guides as a weekly resource to help you navigate the series. They are available for download at the bottom of this page.

What are the expectations?

Just come as you are. It's that simple.

What can you expect from us?

For our Fall 2021 Alpha course, we are planning to offer this course as a hybrid course. On your registration, please indicate whether you would like to attend Alpha in person or online. Please also note that our ability to offer an in-person Alpha is subject to provincial health orders. If we are unable to meet in person, we will meet online and registrants will be alerted.

Whether Alpha is in-person or online, the core aspects of Alpha will remain; there will always be a weekly talk, weekly discussions, and an opportunity for all people to ask big questions, develop friendships, and discover Christ.

We hope to see you at our Fall 2021 Alpha Film Series, starting on Thursday, September 23, 2021, 6:30-9:00 pm.
