Having conversations about life, faith, and Jesus is hard. Alpha is about creating a welcoming, friendly place where people can come and ask questions and explore the Christian faith.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. Run over 10 weeks (Jan 25 - March 28), the Alpha Film Series allows anyone to explore life, faith and God in a friendly, open and informal environment. In each session, there's a free dinner, a 30-minute film, and discussion in small groups. There is also an optional retreat at Camp Stillwood in Chilliwack on March 22-24.

What topics are covered at our Alpha Film Series?

  • Is There More to Life Than This?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why Did Jesus Die?
  • How Can I Have Faith?
  • Why and How Do I Pray?
  • Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
  • How Does God Guide Us?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • What Does the Holy Spirit Do?
  • How Can I Be Filled with the Holy Spirit?
  • How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?
  • How Can I Resist Evil?
  • Why and How Should I Tell Others?
  • What About the Church?

What's included?

We provide Alpha Guides as a weekly resource to help you navigate the series. They are available for download at the bottom of this page (physical copies also available).

What are the expectations?

Just come as you are. It's that simple.

What can you expect from us?

There will always be food, a film, discussion, and an opportunity for all people to ask big questions, develop friendships, and discover Christ.

There is also Youth Alpha running at the same time in a different room. For info and registration on that, go to www.tenth.ca/youthalpha
