COVID-19 UPDATE

Kits Cares Café has altered its programming as of November 12, 2020. In place of our weekly dinners, we will be sharing grocery hampers. This will take place outside of Lord's Grace Church (2396 W8th Ave - Corner of Balsam & W8th Ave) from 1:30-2:30pm on Thursdays. Social distancing must be observed and participants need to vacate after receiving a food parcel. If you are able to assist with home deliveries, please contact us here.

 

What is Kits Cares Café?

Kits Cares Café is a weekly café-style community meal at the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, jointly hosted by nearby churches, to address hunger & social isolation in the spirit of Christ.

Time and Location

Thursdays from 1:30-2:30pm at the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House (2305 W 7th Ave, Vancouver)

TIME

  • Thursdays from 12:30pm-3pm

ROLES

  • At Kits Cares, we have 3 roles that volunteers can help with.
    • Cooking
    • Preparing/distributing groccery bags
    • Home deliveries for groccery bags
  • Please note that as of November 2020, we are not preparing meals. We have yet to determine when we will resume hot meals. 

We ask all volunteers to be punctual and respectful. During this time, please also wear a mask. Thank you!
